  • Do you have a product or innovation that you want to highlight above the rest at Graphispag?

The star product is the new Speedmaster XL 106 Peak performance generation 2024. An offset press that stands out not only for its 21,000 copies per hour but also for its countless automatisms that make it unbeatable in terms of productivity, sustainability management and the application of AI resources. It is a fact that we will not be able to have such a machine installed at the show, but Graphispag gives us the opportunity to explain its features and invite potential customers to attend a live demonstration at our Print Media in Wiesloch in Germany. On the other hand, this year we are presenting the HEIDELBERG Customer Portal, a digital platform that will become a gateway to a catalogue of predictive and analytical tools that are essential for us to be leaders in our increasingly competitive and cost-effective market.

  • Can you explain the main reason for your participation in the show and your commercial expectations?

In the Commercial Printing sector, Graphispag stands out as a leading national trade fair space. This platform gives us the opportunity to share experiences, to network and, of course, to generate leads. Being at Graphispag can be summed up in our commitment to the sector and therefore implies active participation, even though the return (financially speaking) at a trade fair is currently difficult to calculate.

  • Sustainability is one of the most commonly used words in our industry to demonstrate to customers and ultimately to the public that we provide an efficient and environmentally committed service. Can you explain how your solutions stand out as sustainable?

Eco Stories | HEIDELBERG UK

It is a fact that Heidelberg maintains a high level of commitment to its sustainability policies. From micro to macro aspects, the commitment is in line with the Kyoto protocol of 1997. Our flagship Speedmaster XL 106 is designed to save resources and have a minimal impact on the environment. That’s why, along with the other eco-friends, the XL uses water as the magic formula to cool the peripheral modules, rather than air conditioning. Nothing is developed for its own sake, and all the design and construction details of this generation of Speedmaster have one goal: to think about the future and social responsibility.

  • What are the trends that, from your experience in the industry, you believe will shape its future? Can you explain where you are strong in providing solutions to these challenges?

Printing companies are currently facing three major challenges: increasing cost pressures, a shortage of skilled workers and growing sustainability requirements. In response to these megatrends and under the motto “Unfold Your Potential”, the company will present numerous innovations at this year’s drupa, developed with the aim of enabling customers to optimise their business using state-of-the-art technologies and services.
