Graphispag 2024 leaves a positive impression with more networking and demonstrations

The value and creative and communicative possibilities of printing on any surface remain fully valid in the digital age. Today’s graphic technology, along with new finishes and materials, facilitates the creation of unique and sustainable graphic products. This was confirmed at Graphispag, the leading trade fair for the graphics and visual communication industry, which closed last week at Fira de Barcelona’s Gran Via venue with a total of 11,667 visitors, a figure above initial forecasts.

Graphispag was a great success and exceeded the expectations of both exhibitors and visitors. Over three days of intense activity on the stands, with many demonstrations of graphic technology in operation, the show organized by Fira de Barcelona brought together the latest innovations in software, machinery, and equipment for printing, post-printing, and finishing, as well as media, materials, consumables, and printing and visual communication services. This edition featured almost one hundred exhibitors from eight countries.

Graphispag was the only trade fair in the graphics sector held in 2024 in Spain. This factor, together with the presentation of numerous new products by the exhibitors and the program of activities focused on promoting networking and sharing success stories, led to a good turnout. It is also worth highlighting the increase in the number of key buyers from across Spain invited by the show at the request of the exhibiting firms, which has quadrupled compared to 2022.

The president of the Graphispag Organising Committee, Xavier Armengou, expressed his satisfaction with the development of the show. “Attendees took away new ideas to apply to their businesses, interesting professional contacts, and renewed energy to face the challenges of the sector, which, as we have seen at the fair, include sustainability, personalization, and the incorporation of technology and graphic innovation to continue adding more value to printing”.

Great follow-up of the activities
As a complement to the commercial offer, Graphispag 2024 was committed to promoting and placing at the center of the show both the exchange of knowledge on trends and experiences carried out by user companies and professional networking. Thus, the “Impulso-Diálogos” conference area held 21 sessions with the participation of 56 speakers, attended by more than a thousand people. For its part, the networking area was another of the most popular spaces at the fair, continuously hosting business meetings and interviews.

The “Click & Print” and “Interior Design & Wrapping” live demonstrations, dedicated to the personalization of objects and surfaces, were also well received. The industrial design and printing exhibition ‘Hacking the Icons’ and the themed routes through the show also aroused the interest of the public.

On the other hand, the coincidence with the International Book Fair, Liber, brought a significant number of visitors from the publishing sector—one of the most dynamic graphic specialties—interested in learning about the possibilities of printing on demand, as well as new options in papers and finishes.

The final dates of the next Graphispag will be agreed upon with the main companies and organizations in the sector represented on the Organising Committee.
